Personal development – what’s holding you back?

The starting point in personal development is you. Simple as it may sound, the only thing holding you back is you. Take a look at your beliefs; are they empowering you, or are they limiting you?

We develop our beliefs through experience in life and develop an inner talk that reenforces these beliefs. We can change our beliefs; one of the ways to use improve your internal dialogue with positive self talk. Take a look at the flood of positive affirmation quotes enticing you develop your positive beliefs used in twitter marketing.

Basic Twitter Marketing Mistakes You Should Avoid

In a few short years, Twitter has grown into a service that many internet marketers use daily to promote their businesses. It’s a very effective tool to make yourself recognizable to your targeted prospects and to build a following. Twitter is a large and diverse community where you can target your message to people who will be interested in your site, product or service. This represents an opportunity for you to find many potential customers or subscribers. Twitter gives you the chance to create a following of people who look forward to your messages because they contain helpful content. So your first strategy is to be as helpful as you can. However, if you don’t use Twitter the right way, it can actually cause damage to your business. Watch for these common mistakes so you don’t make them in your own Twitter marketing.

Not all conversations are about business, but if it is then you should always try to be relevant to the topic.

When you send out your tweets, make them on-topic and do not send them silly stuff. They won’t be able to relate to you and buy from you if you break this rule. Of course not all tweets are business-related, but if you’re not actively engaged with someone – make the tweets stick to the main topic of you and your followers. When you think about it, it’s just seems like a common sense thing. If you pay attention to what you’re about to tweet, you’ll see improved results. Ultimately, what matters is how close you are to fulfilling their needs, so that in future you can expect them to turn into customers. These kinds of things require time and investment, but the rewards can be monetary as well as other intangibles.

Your style on Twitter should be more casual than serious. When people log on to this site, they want to have fun, talk to people and relax. They like to be entertained and diverted. Sending tweets that sound like a typical business letter will only bore your followers. If you want to get their attention you have to inject your tweets with some creativity. Then your followers will enjoy reading your tweets and you can communicate with them. As people come to appreciate your tweets, your trust and credibility will rise.

When you’re marketing on Twitter, it’s important to use proper language. Many people ignore this one part and end up spoiling their reputation. Never use vulgar expressions when tweeting, but of course you can be informal in posts. It’s really not quite worth it because you’ll offend people, etc. Instead, be friendly in your approach and talk decent. Your outlook really matters and the way you present yourself will eventually determine your results. If you just stay positive, people will gravitate to that and trust you easier.

It’s really easy to avoid making these silly mistakes in your Twitter marketing. It takes some time before you actually see results, but eventually, every effort is worth it.

Do you know what’s holding you back? Here’s an easy exercise to find out your limiting beliefs. First, write down things you want, these can be in the form of “I want to be …”, “I want to have…” or “I want to do…” where do can be any verb you desire. Use each form at least once; you’ll want to have several of these. Leave hefty space between them. Come on! Write them down first before you read any further.

OK, so are you with me with your notes? Good. Now read each one to yourself, and when you come to the end of the sentence say “but” and write down the first thing that pops into your mind. It doesn’t have to be something logical or a good reason, forget the qualifiers for excuses; nobody is looking over your shoulder.

If you did this properly, you should have something like this:

“I want to be rich”, or

“I want to loose weight”

and, it becomes:

“I want to be rich but I don’t know how to make money”

“I want to loose weight but I can’t control my urge to stuff myself with food”

So we’ve fished out the limiting beliefs:

I don’t know how to make money

I can’t control my urge to stuff myself with food

Most of the time, you’ll come up beliefs that are just beating on you. Stop it! Take control! Only you decide what your thoughts and beliefs are. Take these beliefs and change them into empowering beliefs. Believe in yourself, the more you do, the less you’ll have limiting chit chat in your head. The first step in personal development is finding out what’s holding you back. Then we’ll talk about how to change these negative beliefs with empowering ones in another post.

Until then, take care and be your best,

Twitter happens to be one of the fastest growing social applications on the web. It has given people a platform to not only interact but to also grow their business. You are about to learn some Twitter techniques you can use for marketing.

Everything successful starts with a plan. It’s a good idea to have a plan before you begin any Twitter marketing campaigns. It’s good to know how you want Twitter to help you online marketing. Some people like to use it to build a relationship with their existing customers while others use it to find new customers and promote their own products. The more clear you are about how you want to use Twitter, the more successful you’ll be. Without knowing specifically who your tweets are aimed at, you can’t create targeted messages. But once you have a clear road map as to what you want to achieve, the other steps will become clearer. Besides that, you don’t have to depend on just one thing when using Twitter; you can have multiple accounts working for you in different areas. For example, one account could handle your customers and provide them customer service, while the other can be responsible for bringing in new leads. There are countless ways you can use your Twitter accounts.

There’s nothing wrong with giving your opinions on Twitter. There is no reason why you have to agree with everyone else, so if you have a different view, say so. You should be willing to express your ideas, as online communities need to hear a variety of voices. This represents a new and interesting forum to state your point of view. The best way to use Twitter marketing is to have a basic strategy in place and know what audience you’re targeting. And this is how you will truly be able to stand out.

You will also want to pay special attention to your follower ratio. As with most things, it’s about quality, not the quantity. You can brag all day long about having lots of followers, but if those followers don’t even use their Twitter accounts, what good are they? So it’s really important that you give utmost attention to not only your followers but also who you are following. Your entire aim with Twitter is to expand your business by solidifying your bond with people. The stronger these relationships are, the better you will fair into making Twitter useful for your business. You will soon see that following the right people and getting the right people to follow you is quite easy. It’s only required that you interact with your followers and those following you, and you must have a clear understanding of what’s happening. Keep a hardy understanding of the events going on at the moment. All in all, Twitter is just a unique way to communicate with your target audience. Overall, it’s up to you how you use it.
